India-China Border Standoff: Progress in Patrolling and Resolution Efforts

Patrolling by both Indian and Chinese armies in100 Demchok has begun, with patrolling in Depsang likely to commence soon, as per Army sources on Friday, November 1 2024.

Sweets Distribution and Blockade Removal Agreement
The forces of both the nations celebrated Diwali on Thursday by distributing sweets at the five Border Personnel Meeting (BPM) points along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The exchange of sweets took place in the backdrop of the agreement reached on disengagement and patrolling at the rear on 21st October, 2024, after several rounds of talks. Which was primarily on patrolling and disengagement of forces in eastern Ladakh to end the four-year long impasse which had started around the borders in the year 2020.
